School's out, summer's here and the East Side High Wildcats are ready to enjoy their vacation and earn some money with their new summer jobs. 

Troy, Gabriella, Chad and Taylor have got exciting gigs lined up at the Lava Springs Country Club, owned by the family of fellow East High students Sharpay and Ryan Evans.  But now, of course, they're in Sharpay's world and they feel like they need to abide by Sharpay's rules; the first of which is to steal Troy from Gabriella! 

As Sharpay introduces Troy to the most important people in the city, he realises that being friends with the Evans family can have some big rewards, like a college scholarship and hanging out with college basketball hotshots.  But will he give up the Wildcats and Gabriella to rise to the top?
